Sody can show different payment flows depending on what you are buying. For bookings, you may pay a deposit in Sody at checkout. For salon-created packages and credits, the salon may set the purchase method to PayNow or manual payment, depending on how they want to collect payment.
Package and credit listings, pricing, terms, and payment instructions are created and managed by the salon. Sody does not set these salon payment arrangements and does not intervene in salon-managed purchase issues.
Important: For bookings, Sody only processes the deposit. The remaining service balance, add-ons, tips, and extra charges are paid directly to the salon. For package and credit purchases, payment setup and approval are salon-managed. If a salon uses manual payment, you pay the salon directly and may need to upload proof. Because these arrangements are set by the salon, Sody is not responsible for salon-managed payment disputes or refund decisions.
Payment Methods for Bookings, Packages, and Credits
Booking Deposit (through Sody): You can pay your booking deposit using the payment methods supported in Sody at checkout. This only covers the deposit shown for the booking.
Booking Balance (paid directly to salon): Any remaining balance for the appointment is paid directly to the salon using the methods they accept, such as cash, PayNow, or other salon-approved methods.
Package and Credit Purchases: When buying a salon-created package or credit, the salon may set the purchase method to PayNow or manual payment. The method shown on the purchase screen comes from the salon's setup.
Manual Payment Purchases: If the salon uses manual payment, you pay the salon directly outside the app and may need to upload a screenshot or other proof for the salon to review.
Always review the salon's payment method, recipient details, terms, and instructions before paying for a package or credit. If anything is unclear, confirm directly with the salon in chat before you proceed.
Tip: Before paying a salon directly, double-check the total amount, payment method, and whether proof of payment is required. This helps avoid delays with salon approval.
