Your safety is important. If something during your appointment does not feel right or safe to you, the first step is to raise it directly with the salon while you are still there.
Important: If you believe your health or safety is at immediate risk, seek appropriate medical assistance or emergency help first. Sody is not an emergency service, cannot provide medical advice, and cannot diagnose or treat any medical issues.
What to Do if You Have a Safety Concern
Tell the salon as soon as you notice a problem. Give them a chance to fix the issue (for example, changing tools, stopping a treatment, or cleaning the area). Wherever possible, raise any safety-related concerns on the same day and within 24 hours of your appointment.
If you do not feel comfortable continuing, you can ask to stop the service. Your wellbeing comes first.
Take clear photos or short videos of anything you are concerned about, as soon as it is safe to do so. This is useful if there is a later dispute.
If the issue is not resolved or you still feel uncomfortable with how it was handled, go to your booking in the Sody app and use “Report a Problem” to raise a booking dispute (for example, about service quality or behaviour). For safety-related concerns, we strongly recommend doing this within 24 hours of your appointment so we can understand what happened as clearly as possible.
If you are unsure what to do, you can also contact Sody Support through the Help section of the app so our team can review the situation under our policies.
Salons on Sody are independent businesses and are responsible for providing services safely and in line with local regulations. When you raise a problem through your booking, Sody Support can review what happened (including any messages, photos, and salon responses) and may guide both sides through our dispute process where relevant.
In many cases, solutions such as refunds, partial refunds, or a redo of the service are agreed directly between you and the salon. In some situations, Sody may apply actions under our platform policies or issue vouchers as goodwill, but we are not a medical provider and cannot guarantee outcomes related to health or treatment results.
Tip: Keep records of what was discussed with the salon, including messages sent through Sody and any photos or videos. This helps everyone understand what happened if the booking needs to be reviewed later.
