Sody uses a deposit-based booking system. When a customer pays a deposit during checkout, this amount is transferred to your salon after you approve the booking. In most cases, payouts are processed immediately after you approve the booking, subject to your bank’s processing times. Sody does not hold deposits long term — once the booking is confirmed, the deposit is processed and sent to the bank account you have registered in Sody OS.
Important: The balance payment (the remaining amount after the deposit) is always handled directly between you and the customer during their appointment. Sody does not collect or settle the remaining balance, so payouts for the balance happen outside the Sody system via your preferred method (e.g., PayNow or cash).
How Deposit Payouts Work
A customer pays a deposit when making a booking through Sody.
Once you approve the booking, Sody processes the deposit payout to your registered bank account, typically immediately after approval.
Payouts follow the standard processing schedule, which may vary depending on your bank.
The remaining balance is collected directly from the customer during the appointment via your preferred payment method (e.g., PayNow, cash, or any method you choose).
If you or the customer cancel the booking before approval, the deposit may be automatically refunded to the customer by Sody and will not be paid out to you.
If you cancel a confirmed booking inside Sody, you will need to scan the Sody QR code in-app to PayNow the deposit amount back to Sody. Once Sody successfully receives this transfer, Sody will refund the customer and the booking will be cancelled.
Payouts only apply to deposits paid through Sody. Since the balance payment is collected directly during the appointment, it does not go through Sody and is not included in your payout reports. To avoid payout delays, always ensure your bank details in Sody OS are accurate and up to date.
Tip: If you recently updated your bank details, double-check that they are entered correctly. Incorrect or outdated bank information can cause failed payouts or delays in receiving your deposit.
