💖 Why Does the Skin Turn Pink or Red?
Skin that turns pink or red after a treatment can be caused by two different factors — one is a normal physiological response, while the other may indicate an underlying skin condition.
1️⃣ Pink or flushed skin caused by increased blood circulation – a normal reaction
After treatments such as peeling, laser, microneedling, or RF, the capillaries naturally dilate and red blood cells circulate faster to deliver oxygen and nutrients for skin repair.
The skin may appear slightly pink, warm, and feel tight or smooth.
👉 This is a healthy response, showing that the skin is regenerating and oxygen flow is active.
2️⃣ Persistent redness – a sign of skin sensitivity or vascular issues
If the redness is intense, hot, swollen, or lasts more than 2–3 days, it may indicate:
Dilated or broken capillaries (rosacea).
Irritation caused by certain skincare products or laser heat.
Chronic inflammation that makes blood vessels overreactive.
👉 In this case, stop using strong actives or harsh products and focus on barrier repair with ingredients like panthenol, ceramide, or madecassoside.
If redness persists, it’s best to consult a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
