Design Lashes + Lower Lashes for my Monolid brats! β¨
ποΈβπ¨οΈ Why Monolids are one of the hardest eye shape to master:
βπ» Hidden Lashes
With monolids, the natural lash line is tucked under the eyelid which makew it harder to isolate each lash, especially if theyβre short or grow downwards. This causes the extensions to be pushed inward or flattened by the lid fold, causing the lash set to look 'squished' and messy!
βπ» The Lashes Disappear
Even if the lash tech creates an absolutely stunning set, the weight of the lid fold can cover or straighten it, making the set look less dramatic than intended.
BUT! Not all hope is lost! Here's how we can circumvent these issues to make your set different! β¨π
β¨ Curl Types:
Use stronger curls such as
- M curls: The lift happens earlier on the shaft, so the curl stays visible even under the fold
- L curls: Flat base + sharp lift = opens the eyes up beautifully, even on lashes that point downward
- DD curls: Only if the natural lashes can support it. Curl is intense, but not too curly that it hits the lid
I used LC+ & LC curl for her set and opted for a cat eye look which leans into the beauty of monolids β its mysterious and sultry nature! π
Reminder: Your eye shape is NEVER the problem, it's the lash tech's job to create a lash map that's suitable for your unique eyes! β€οΈ Ready to get glammed up for August? Link in the bio for badass lashes πΌπΌπΌ
