This lady has eczema prone skin, so cuticle work can be rather challenging as the medication makes the skin generally soft and delicate, but the areas that are flaking would be hard. In the past, I wouldn't be able to apply gel all the way to the cuticle line as she could not tolerate cleaning out a deep pocket. Applying gel on nail area with remnant cuticle (or skin) will just result in lifting and an unstable structure. But now, having learnt how to handle sensitive clients during the e-file class with Teacher Yumi, I'm able to select the appropriate tools for comfortable and thorough cuticle care. It is so satisfying to maximise the nail estate available and deliver a clean and neat look!
