Ever struggled with chrome isolation, only to end up with a messy result? I know the feeling—I’ve been there. These methods are the ones I found work best for me.
- Apply your base coat and cleanse with alcohol, but ALWAYS remember to buff off any shine. I prefer buffing because it works for me everytime.
- For the chrome design, use a non-wipe gel. You can either use black gel or mix black with the no-wipe gel for a softer chrome effect—clear gel can be tricky to see sometimes.
- Gently rub in the chrome using an eyeshadow applicator, which I find works best.
- Cure in LED/UV lamp, but be careful not to overcure, as the chrome won’t adhere properly. Different products require different curing times, so make sure to test and adjust as needed.
- Remove any excess chrome with a brush or makeup sponge for a clean look.
