I booked this home-based lash lift based on the good review, but it was an absolute NIGHTMARE
The Issues:
- Severely Damaged Lashes:
My lashes were extremely overprocessed after the first session. 😭 I have timestamped photos from right after leaving showing the severe damage.
- Botched Fix:
I didn't want a refund at first, just a solution. She offered a corrective session to relax and relift them. She called this an action out of “goodwill” when she was the one who damaged my lashes in the first place... 😀 During the 2nd appointment, I pointed out they were curled so tightly they touched my eyelids. She claimed they just "looked like that because they were wet." But once dry, they looked even shorter and more damaged.
- Zero Accountability:
After I saw how badly damaged my lashes were after the corrective session I asked for a refund. Yet she blamed a previous lash lift I had MORE THAN A MONTH prior.... This is a poor excuse, as I EXPLICITLY disclosed this history before booking and she assured me it was safe to proceed.
-Gaslighting me with Photos:
She claimed her in studio photos didn't show damage. Of course they didn't... those were taken while my lashes were wet and actively being brushed into place. My own photos tell the real story. (I have photos literally outside her house with timestamp)
!! Final Verdict:
This was my first time supporting a home-based beauty business, and it was a deeply upsetting experience. SAVE your money and your lashes !!️
edit: I saw her response and wanted to point out that the lack of accountability comes from the fact that she still couldn't admit that my lashes were done incorrectly. Instead, she keeps emphasizing the free "corrective" treatment, when in reality that should have been the bare minimum. (SHE DIDN’T EVEN FIX IT IN THE END 💀)
A refund was my LAST resort because I understand how difficult it is to run a business.. I even have countless photos of my lashes(dried). Why would I intentionally ruin my own lashes just to get my money back...?
At the end of the day, I went to another salon and got them fixed, which only proves that the problem was fixable all along. LOL.
