Sody App Refund Policy

1. Introduction & Commercial Agent Status
This Refund Policy applies to your use of the Sody App and Platform. By making a booking or purchase, you agree to these terms.
Sody as a Commercial Agent:
Sody acts as a limited commercial payment collection agent for
the Salon. This means that when you pay a Deposit or service
amount via the Sody Platform, your payment obligation to the
Salon is discharged. Essentially, paying Sody is treated the
same as paying the Salon directly.
However, the Service Agreement is strictly between you (the Consumer) and the Salon. The Salon is solely responsible for providing the service and determining whether a refund is warranted under their specific policies.
This also applies to salon-created Packages, Credits, Stamp Cards, Rewards, loyalty programs, and similar promotions made available through the Platform. Sody only provides the software experience and administrative workflow for these features. The Salon is solely responsible for setting and honoring the applicable terms, including whether any refund, credit, reinstatement, balance adjustment, or exception is permitted.
2. Sody Platform Fees (Non-Refundable)
Sody charges specific fees for premium platform features. These fees are paid to Sody App Pte. Ltd. for the use of our technology and are distinct from the Deposit paid to the Salon.
- Sody Partner Subscriptions (PLUS+): Fees paid for Sody Partner subscriptions (Monthly or Yearly) are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, you will not receive a refund for any remaining time in your billing period, but you will continue to have access to the paid features until the end of that period.
- Custom Domain Registrations: Fees paid for custom domain names (e.g., via Link in Bio) are strictly non-refundable. Once a domain is registered or renewed on your behalf, the cost is incurred immediately and cannot be reversed.
- Sody Explorer Voucher: The purchase fee for the Explorer Voucher is strictly non-refundable. The vouchers contained within the Explorer Voucher have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be refunded even if expired or unused.
3. Salon Deposits, Packages & Cancellations
For bookings, you enter into a direct contract with the Salon. Refunds for Deposits are governed by the Salon's Cancellation Policy, which is displayed to you before you confirm your booking.
- Standard Cancellation: If you cancel a booking, your refund eligibility depends on the notice period you provide (e.g., 24 hours, 48 hours) as defined by the Salon.
- Salon-Initiated Cancellation: If a Salon cancels your confirmed booking, or rejects your booking request, you are entitled to a full refund of the Deposit. Sody will process this refund upon the Salon's instruction or system confirmation.
- Salon-Created Packages and Credits: Refunds, credits, validity, expiry, redemption, approval, rejection, balance calculations, and fulfillment of any Package or Credit are determined solely by the Salon's Package or Credit terms. Sody is not the seller, issuer, guarantor, or obligor of any Package or Credit and is under no obligation to refund a Package or Credit from its own funds.
- Manual Approval or Off-Platform Collection: Where a Salon uses manual approval, PayNow, bank transfer, cash collection, or any similar payment arrangement for a Package or Credit, the Salon is solely responsible for confirming receipt of payment, approving the Package or Credit, and determining whether any refund or credit is due.
4. No-Show Policy
If you fail to attend your appointment ("No-Show") without canceling in advance, you are subject to the Salon's No-Show Policy.
In most cases, a No-Show results in the forfeiture of 100% of the Deposit. Sody is not authorized to refund a Deposit marked as a No-Show by the Salon unless the Salon explicitly authorizes us to do so.
5. Refunds Involving Promos, Credits, Stamps & Rewards
Refunds on Discounted Transactions:
If you used a Promo Code, Sody Voucher, or Credit to pay for a
booking, any applicable refund will be limited to the amount
you actually paid via your payment card. You are not entitled
to a cash refund for the value of the discount or voucher.
Sody Credits:
Sody Credits (e.g., earned via referrals) have no cash
surrender value. If a booking made with Credits is cancelled,
the refund will be issued back to your Sody account as
Credits, not as cash, subject to the original expiry date of
those credits.
Stamp Cards and Rewards:
Stamp Cards, loyalty benefits, and Rewards are created,
managed, and fulfilled solely by the Salon. Unless expressly
stated otherwise by the Salon, they have no cash value and are
not refundable, exchangeable for cash, or guaranteed by Sody.
If a Salon changes, suspends, expires, refuses, or
discontinues any Stamp Card or Reward, any resulting dispute
must be resolved directly with the Salon.
6. Refund Processing & Timing
How Refunds are Issued: Refunds will typically be issued to your original payment method. If that method is no longer available (e.g., card expired), Sody reserves the right to issue the refund as Sody Credits.
Timeline: Once a refund is approved, it typically takes 5-10 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank's processing times.
Transaction Costs: Sody is not responsible for any foreign transaction fees or banking charges incurred during the initial purchase or the refund process.
7. Disputes & Chargebacks
First Step: If you are dissatisfied with a service or a cancellation charge, you must first contact the Salon directly.
Sody's Discretion: While Sody is not a party to the Service Agreement, if you are unable to resolve a dispute with a Salon, you may contact us at [email protected]. At our sole discretion, and always as a last resort, Sody may elect to issue a refund or credit if we deem it fair. However, we are under no obligation to do so.
For the avoidance of doubt, this discretionary assistance does not make Sody responsible for refund decisions relating to salon-created Packages, Credits, Stamp Cards, Rewards, loyalty programs, or similar promotions. Any such refund, reinstatement, extension, redemption, balance correction, or exception remains solely the Salon's responsibility.
Unjustified Chargebacks:
You agree to contact Sody to resolve any payment disputes
before filing a chargeback or dispute with your bank or credit
card provider. If you file a chargeback that is deemed
unjustified (e.g., filing a dispute for a non-refundable
Deposit after a No-Show), Sody reserves the right to suspend
or permanently terminate your account.
8. Changes to this Policy
Sody reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
