Sody App Refund Policy

1. Introduction
This Refund Policy describes how refunds are handled for bookings made through the Sody platform (including the Sody App, Sody Partner, and our website, collectively the "Platform"). It is important to understand that Sody facilitates bookings between Consumers and Salons, but the actual service agreement is directly between the Consumer and the Salon. This Refund Policy is part of and should be read in conjunction with Sody's Terms of Service.
2. Salon Cancellation Policies
Each Salon sets its own cancellation policy, which determines whether a Consumer is eligible for a refund of the Deposit if *they* cancel a booking. These policies are displayed on the Salon's profile and during the booking process. **Consumers are strongly encouraged to review the Salon's cancellation policy *before* making a booking.**
3. Sody's Role in Refunds
Sody acts as a facilitator for refunds in certain circumstances, as described below. Sody charges a Processing Fee for each booking, which is separate from the Deposit.
4. Cancellations and Rejections

- Booking Rejection or Cancellation by Salon (Pre-Confirmation): If a Salon rejects a booking request, or cancels a booking *before* confirming it, the Consumer may be eligible for a full refund of the amount paid.
- Consumer Cancellation: If a Consumer cancels a booking, the refund of the Deposit is determined by the *Salon's* cancellation policy. The Consumer should refer to the Salon's policy for details.
- Salon Cancellation (Post-Confirmation): If a Salon cancels a booking *after* confirming it, the Salon's cancellation policy will determine whether the Consumer is eligible for a refund of the Deposit. Sody will facilitate the refund process where applicable, in accordance with the Salon's policy.
5. Non-Refundable Items/Services
Non-Refundable Items/Services
In certain circumstances, refunds may not be available. These include, but are not limited to:
- No-Shows: If a Consumer fails to appear for a confirmed appointment without prior cancellation, the Deposit, and potentially the full service fee, is generally non-refundable, as determined by the Salon's cancellation policy.
- Salon's Discretion: As each salon has their own cancellation policy, they have the final say.
- Processing Fees: Sody's Processing Fee may be non-refundable in certain circumstances, such as a Consumer no-show, subject to Sody's discretion.
6. Disputes
If a Consumer has a dispute with a Salon regarding a refund, they should first attempt to resolve the dispute directly with the Salon. If the Consumer and Salon are unable to resolve the dispute, the Consumer may contact Sody for assistance. However, Sody is not obligated to intervene and is not liable for the outcome of any dispute.
7. Refund Processing Time
Refunds processed by Sody are typically processed within 14 business days, but the actual time it takes for the funds to appear in the Consumer's account may depend on the payment method and financial institutions involved. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the booking, whenever possible. If the original payment method is unavailable, Sody will work with the Consumer to find an alternative refund method, but this may cause delays.
8. Governing Law
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
9. Changes to this Refund Policy
Sody reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. We will post any changes on the Platform and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
